FAN ASSEMBLY INSTRUCTIONS
The Newin NJF series hollow type aluminum alloy fans are delivered in an unassembled form, with fan blades and the hub meticulously matched to guarantee a seamless and accurate re-assembly process.
a. Choose a spacious area that can comfortably accommodate the full diameter of the fan, ensuring ample room for assembly.
b. Position the fan hub 1 strategically at the center of your workspace, with the blade sockets easily accessible for assembly.
c. Carefully place fan blade 2 into a designated blade socket on the hub. On models where blades overlap at the hub, ensure that the leading edge is positioned underneath the trailing edge of the forward blade for proper alignment.
d. Confirm that the blade shank safety collar is positioned inside the inner hub rim to ensure secure assembly.
1. Prioritize safety by ensuring that the cooling tower motor is securely locked out before commencing installation.
2. Thoroughly clean the hub bore and the driving shaft extension along the full length of the key to ensure a clean, secure fit.
3. Insert the key into the keyway with precision. The top of the key should sit just below the top of the shaft by no more than 3 mm. The key should fit snugly across the width and must remain unaltered.
4. Once cleaned, apply a generous coat of anti-seize compound to the engagement portion of the shaft to prevent sticking and ease future maintenance.
5. Carefully lift the fan assembly above the shaft, then slowly lower the hub onto the shaft, ensuring the keyways are perfectly aligned. It's crucial to make sure the key remains in place and does not slide down during the installation process.
6. Secure the assembly by installing the Hub Retention Cap Screw along with the Lock Washer, ensuring a firm hold and reliable operation.
