FAN ASSEMBLY INSTRUCTIONS
The Newin NJF series, featuring hollow type aluminum alloy fans, are delivered in an unassembled state. The fan blades and hub are precisely matched to ensure seamless and accurate re-assembly, offering ease and convenience during setup.
a. Select a spacious and open area that can accommodate the diameter of the fan for an efficient assembly process.
b. Position the fan hub 1 carefully at the center of the work area, ensuring the blade sockets are ready for assembly.
c. Place fan blade 2 into a blade socket on the hub. For fans where the blades overlap at the hub, ensure the leading edge is positioned under the trailing edge of the forward blade for optimal alignment.
d. Confirm that the blade shank safety collar is securely inboard of the inner hub rim to ensure stability and safety.
1. Ensure the cooling tower motor is securely locked out to guarantee safety during installation.
2. Thoroughly clean the hub bore and the entire length of the driving shaft extension for the key, ensuring it is free of debris and ready for installation.
3. Carefully insert the key into the keyway. The top of the key should not exceed more than 3 mm below the top of the shaft. The key must fit tightly across the width and should remain unaltered to ensure a secure fit.
4. Once cleaned, apply a generous coat of anti-seize compound to the engagement portion of the shaft to facilitate smooth installation and prevent corrosion.
5. Gently raise the fan assembly above the shaft and slowly lower the hub onto the shaft, ensuring the keyways are perfectly aligned. Make certain the key does not slide down during installation for a secure fit.
6. Install the Hub Retention Cap Screw along with the Lock Washer to secure the assembly in place, ensuring reliable and stable operation.
